You are invited to complete a survey about your experience with exercise related to your knee or hip osteoarthritis. This survey was developed to assess your experience with prescribed exercise-based rehabilitation (exercise program) as a treatment for knee or hip osteoarthritis. Exercise-based rehabilitation includes any planned physical exercises provided in programs with a range of timeframes. We use the expression "short-term" to describe any exercise program delivered for a length of between 4 and 24 weeks. 2. Do I have to participate? Being part of this study is voluntary. If you want to be part of the study we ask that you read the information below carefully. If you decide not to participate, this won't affect your relationship with La Trobe University or any other listed organisation. 3. Who is being asked to participate? You have been asked to participate because: You have been diagnosed with knee and/or hip osteoarthrosis by a doctor, you are aged 18 years or older, you can read English and have access to the internet, and you live in Australia. 4. What will I be asked to do? If you want to take part in this study, we will ask you to complete a survey about your experience with exercise related to your knee or hip osteoarthritis. The survey has 96 questions, multiple choice answers, exploring your perspective regarding exercise adherence. It will take between twenty to thirty minutes to complete. Some questions might seem repetitive, but it is important that you answer all questions. Please do your best to finish the survey and answer the questions as honestly and accurately as possible. 5. What are the benefits? The benefit of you taking part in this study is that completing this survey will help to inform clinicians and researchers about how to better support people living with osteoarthritis. The information gathered from the survey will be used to suggest new strategies to improve exercise adherence for people with knee/hip osteoarthritis. 6. What are the risks? Participants may feel discomfort because of questions about depression. If you experience something that you aren't sure about, please contact us immediately so we can discuss the best way to manage your concerns. Will I hear about the results of the study? A plain language summary of the project outcomes will be provided to participants on request. No individually identifying data will be collected, therefore we will not be able to contact you unless you contact us first. It is anticipated that the results of the study will be ready for publication/dissemination by Nov 2023. 9. What if I change my mind? If you no longer want to complete the questionnaire, simply close the web browser.
